RES loves it - Fish & Aquatic Pets

I've had to replace the suction cups. My turtles love their log, they don't care if it's sucked in or not. It's light and floating, my turtle loves to rest in it. He also likes his swimming pillow from the same company, but it's the same with those suction cups.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Don't really like it, everything is fine

Floats amazingly

I use this for our turtle tank. I was surprised it would float. Turtles like to walk in the middle and stick their heads in the hole at the top. The upper part is on the water level, the rest is under water, which allows the fish to hide there too. We have a 200 gallon turtle tank with lots of large and small tetras.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Low maintenance

spot on - fish and aquatic animals

I have an adult red-eared slider and he loves this strain!. I would not recommend this for a female pusher as they can get too big to accommodate even the largest log. However, this is not an efficient place for swimming. I would always recommend a solid platform all the way over the water for swimming, but as a shelter and sleeping den it's perfect.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • poorly thought out

Dislikes in aquarium decor

My turtle doesn't like it. When I put it on to see if it holds up, it doesn't. If you get this so your turtle can get out of the water for a while, it won't work. I have a red ear slider and it is 7 inches long. I have this in a 75 gallon tank and it's too big for it. He just swims around the tank, preventing her from sunbathing on the platform to get up when she wants to get out of the water.

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • High price

Great for small duck pond

I built a small pond in my chicken coop for a couple of ducks (not arrived yet), added some goldfish feeders and ordered this log. Hopefully this will work when the ducks want to get out, but I don't know what weight capacity to expect. Goldfish love it so far, they rush back and forth all day. Update: We picked up some chicks this weekend and they can climb on board and stand on it. It's a little unstable, but it works. If this company made a log at least twice that size, it would be perfect…

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • Fits
