Dig my red legs!

My red feet love it as much as Mazuri - I still use both! I love that this food contains probiotics and is dried pressed herbs, weeds and fruits. It's a little more natural than other processed foods. I started giving this to my turtles when they were newly hatched and eating it, but adults might be cautious about their first introductions to this food. I use this as a dietary supplement, once a week or two.

They were happy to eat this dish!

My red-footed turtles are fussy and don't like Fluckers ground turtle food. I was worried they wouldn't like this one, so I bought a smaller container. To do this, just add some water and it will quickly absorb and expand. I added some of their favorite grape tomatoes thinking that they would start eating it and hopefully they would like it. One bite of a tomato with food on it, they dropped the tomatoes and just started eating the food like crazy! I've never seen them eat like that. I'm soโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Safety

I usually feed a variety of fresh foods, but give her something in granules when I'm not in the mood to 'cook'. She doesn't eat straight hay. She is now around 6 years old and I started buying this product when she was 3 years old. Switched from Repcal granules due to the addition of artificial coloring. Had previous experience with reptile mazuri but preferred ZooMed's "natural turtle food" due to the ingredients and being slightly cheaper. She wasn't interested at first (because of the colorโ€ฆ

Our turtle didn't eat it at first

Our turtle has been eating red leaf lettuce for years but we would like her to try other foods like dandelions and other leafy greens or tomatoes. This eats only red leaf lettuce. After reading articles about healthy turtle food we came across this one. We mixed it with red leaf lettuce and he just ripped the lettuce off and left it on his plate. Slowly we cut the lettuce into pieces, moistened it well and gave it water. I would just eat less. A week later he started eating it. We read thatโ€ฆ
