Worth the Effort: Fish and Aquatic Creatures

My son's Pac-Man frog is easy to store and raise. It gets the nutrients it needs and we don't have to constantly worry about keeping up with live animals/insects. It also took a long time and is at least worth having on hand for emergencies if you can't get to the pet store that day.

Pros
  • High marks for hold and durability from testers
Cons
  • It's OK

Frog loves it most in food

They must have put frog flavor in it or something. My picky frog loves this. My frog is already used to the pincer feeding as I had to hand feed the insects due to their disinterest. She literally jumps when she sees this little ball of food. I'm glad I no longer have to try to keep feeder insects alive!

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • Weight

Don't go to the frog front

My Pacman frog turned his face up to him. I thought maybe it was the texture as he has eaten cricket food cubes in the past. (Not recommended, they're not that nutritious.) I've tried mixing it with agar to make a stronger nutritional tablet, but it still didn't work. On the other hand, my cherry shrimp and ram snails seem to like it, so not a waste of money.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product

Almost killed our Pacman frog!

Our Pacman frog was bloated like a balloon and breathing sporadically after eating this. We were sure that he would die. Luckily he survived and I threw the poison in the trash. I've read warnings on forums and groups not to buy this, but unfortunately I saved up anyway. I've heard a lot of good things about Pac Attack, but I'll stick with live food for a while. Don't roll with it.

Pros
  • Easy install
Cons
  • Nothing

Pixie Frog loves this.

I actually bought this for my fairy frog (African bullfrog) just to see if he would eat it and have it on hand as a treat/replacement food when I wasn't going out and something can fetch . The top of the bottle is narrow, but the set includes a long spoon that's difficult to pull out and put back in. When you mix it, it looks like poop and smells the same. I'm happy because my frog loves this thing. All I had to do was grab the food with a pair of tongs, bring it to his nose and he would lash…

Pros
  • Hands free operation
Cons
  • Very expensive

My ravioli love it now!

My young strawberry and pineapple Pac-Man ravioli won me over a bit. I assume he grew up with regular old live crickets. I don't want live bugs to be another thing to worry about, so I use a combination of Kan'o'mini crickets and Kan'o'mini meal with Reptivit and freeze-dried anchovies as the gut "dead " Variety. "Food for him. It took him about a week to accept dead food, but now he's eating like a champ. I'll transition him to crickets, locusts, and whatever else they've got when he grows up,

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • boring packaging

Easy to use, not for tree frogs

I bought this as a fallback for my Cuban tree frogs and leopard frogs. Only to use if there's ever a hurricane or a holiday or whatever and pet stores don't have crickets. It happened so I used it over the weekend. It was really easy to mix and didn't smell bad. I have to say they didn't like it, everyone eats normally. I fooled a few that ate out of my hand but could only fool once and then they spat and I tried again and they spat again. I know this meal isn't meant for her, I just thought it

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Requires outlet
