Dangerous! The black base of the press (which it sits on) is not connected to the glass in any way. It almost broke within the first 10 seconds - a serious design flaw! But it does its job well enough.

Just wanted to write and say that your product is exactly what I was looking for. It's a very sleek, elegant design and also extremely functional. It arrived quickly and without damage. I also appreciate the little booklet with tips and instructions that comes with the product. Thanks very much!

I'm no french press expert but bought this to cold press coffee and it works great. However, the only negative (which I read about before buying) is that the press doesn't fully reach the bottom of the glass. Other than that, I haven't had much loose coffee grounds in my coffee :) I've been using this press every day for the past 4 months with no problems!

This is a good value French press. Easy to clean and makes great coffee. Remember to preheat it by filling it with a small amount of warm water before pouring in the water heated to the right brewing temperature. If you don't, it may tear. By experimenting with the ratio of coffee grounds to water you use (filtered water is best), you can easily brew coffee that far outperforms the prices at major chain cafes.

I only received this press today and after viewing it I am satisfied with the price. The lid doesn't fit as well as we'd like, but the materials, while cheap, show little design quality. Realize that a cheap French press works almost as well as an expensive one. The proof is in the durability and the compromise between form and function. The issue of thermo glass is not important here, since coffee prepared in a press must be poured into a heated cup or thermos practically immediately…
