I had to replace my Verve 3's suspension stand. The seat was too high. This post allowed me to lower the saddle so I could have better control of my bike.

So the mail I received had a locking groove (it was mail for a rented city bike). So after some cutting and sanding it worked. Will do until I order more elsewhere

Light, strong and very long. The aluminum seat post was too long for me to sit low enough. However, with the help of a hacksaw, I was able to easily shorten the stem to fit my bike.

This seat post is light and strong. I installed it on a 1994 Cannondale F500 which I brought back to life for use by several family and friends on a visit. The 12-inch scale on the stand allows for quick setup.

I bought a silver colored seat post. Appears to be well built. However, it doesn't look like polished metal. It looks more like colored silver. This disappointed me as it is not as described. I won't lower the price too much as you get what you pay for.

The printed numbers were in terrible bleeding/corrosion around them. The end of the clamp was not centered with the post. I just had to send it back immediately. Much better posts are available at this price point ($17).

Measurements were accurate and it fit as expected. The minimum insertion line on this is 100mm from the bottom. This only gives you 250mm maximum height from the clamp. Luckily, that gave me just the height I needed above the post it was replacing. Seems pretty strong. I will update this review if anything goes wrong.

I chose this seatpost because heavy riders like me (255 pounds) would find it safer to use an aluminum alloy on my bike. Carbon fiber components are prone to breakage from severe impacts, especially when heavily loaded, and also when the material has small cracks or dents. Also, my racing bike looked like a regular bike because of its classic look. I recommend this seatpost for heavy people like me and felt very safe with it. Of course, light weights can also work with it.

This is a bike seat post - not much to add, although one item not mentioned in the description is a real feature: the micro-adjustable seat belt. Folks, don't take the old-fashioned "stick it in a pole" seat. You will have great and constant difficulty getting it into a comfortable place and it will be a constant pain to keep it that way.
