High quality - cutlery and knife accessories

Well made, high quality sharpener. Two sides: course and penalty. Did a very good job on the four knives I tested it with. it's heavy and substantial.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • I have no particular complaints about it, everything is fine

Expensive but works great

Wish it was cheaper but it works really well. Comfortable handle, long steel and two textures on steel. Significant difference in just a few seconds.

Cons
  • Almost never

Good sharpening blade best in knife sharpeners

Works well only two sides to straighten the blade unlike other versions which are 360 degrees. I've found that 4-5 quick hits properly straighten the blade between sharpenings. After a few months of use there is no wear and tear.

Pros
  • Quick change
Cons
  • There are new competitors

Good blade for sharpening: knife sharpener

Works well only two sides to smooth the edge unlike other versions which are 360 degrees. I've found that 4-5 quick hits properly straighten the blade between sharpenings. After a few months of use there is no wear and tear.

Pros
  • New to my collection
Cons
  • Clarity

Fantastic Steel is good for the kitchen and dining room

I have tried 2 other Revain knife sharpeners and both were disappointing. It wasn't until I tried my mother's Henckels steel that I knew where to go. This steel is fantastic. 2 passes and my knives are perfectly sharpened. Too bad I didn't know about this steel before I spent the money on others.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Senior Citizen

This is the real thing.

The hardness of the steel should match the hardness of the knife you are using it on. If your knife scores above 56 on the Rockwell scale, you need a steel like this. If you like really good kitchen knives when looking at this twin steel, check out the Kramer twin line of knives. These knives are beautiful and have great steel and are a big improvement on the standard Wüsthof line. The steel is harder than 58/59 and requires a new sharpening steel, but not as hard (or as brittle and difficult…
