What can go wrong? Right? Well it started.

What can go wrong? Right? Well, rust stains have built up between the teeth on the serrated edge of the spreader, and now the rest of the blade shows stains, even though it says 'stainless steel'.

Utility knife not well designed

Not as flexible as it should be. All the tines on the curved side, the tines should be on the other side of the blade. For a well-designed spreader, check out the twin spreader. The problem with Zwilling is that the handle keeps breaking in the same spot so I won't be buying it again. It is a typical Chinese design, so ergonomics were not considered. PS orange terrible color

Cutlery and knife accessories are still rusting

I make patties for our five kids for lunch almost every day and I have several brands of sandwich knives/spreaders; and that's the only thing i regret buying. I always hand wash and dry immediately, and after just two months I noticed the appearance of rust at the junction of the blade and handle. I've never been in the dishwasher, I always dry it completely with a towel. Disappointed :-( However, I use several other Zyliss products in the kitchen and love them! Not this one :-/

The must-have shaker won't disappoint

I love the large size - just the right size for spreading mayonnaise and mustard on sandwiches, appetizers and paninis. I will definitely be buying more for my family and daughter. An essential item in the kitchen. I wish it came in other colors. I would definitely recommend the manufacturer to offer it in other colors as well. Order, you won't be disappointed. Great size and length, not too big and not too small. Great size for spreading condiments and if your family uses big containers of…

Look elsewhere for a better knife

This is not a sandwich knife. It's too thick and heavy and also too short. It is also NOT double edged as one edge is serrated and the other is smooth and thin (note the difference in the image). It's only serrated and the steel is too thick to cut the sandwich cleanly. By the time my husband made the sandwich and left the knife in the sink for 45 minutes before I could clean it, it was already irreversibly soiled. In the photos you can see the black spot on this knife that has been used 3…

SAD - they changed the design - it's not the same. Now he is very thin.

Looks like Zyliss swapped out the material for a cheaper one. I had THREE of these in my kitchen and used each one EVERY DAY! After years of use, I threw away two that seemed to be coming loose from the handle. The replacement blades arrived fairly quickly but unfortunately had to put them in this morning and had issues with the softer oil - the TONKE blade - which was noticeable when held next to the old one, as well as more flexibility due to its thinner construction. I assume this was done…

Ideal for buttering toast

This butter knife was recommended to me. After reading the reviews and considering our needs, I ordered it with the understanding that if Cult45 showed up to steal my ketchups and sausages, I would choose a different knife to protect my kitchen. It's a colourful, functional addition to our knife arsenal, perfect for butter that isn't warm enough to die on toast and that needs to be conveyed. I'm sure there are other spreads it would be just as useful for, but for now we'll stick with it as a…

Disappointed: Kitchen & Dining

We make a lot of toast and sandwiches around our house every day, so having a good supply of shakers is pretty darn important. We bought this a few weeks ago - and OXO Good Grips (feel free to check out my review there). Long story short, that blade on that thing was rusty and badly discolored when we first put it in the dishwasher. It has been washed 15 or 20 times in the dishwasher but the blade is badly discolored and continues to rust. I was expecting a lot more considering the cost and the

I love this knife: Utility knife

Fantastic! So, this is a small knife and it costs 4.99, this thing is not life changing. But it's strong and very durable for the price. It fits comfortably in my hand and the edge is sharp enough to pierce a sandwich without worrying about my kids cutting off a finger in the process. Let's be clear, you could cut yourself, but it's primarily for spreading, and the serrated cutting side will help you eat some bread and charcuterie, but that's where it ends (and that's where I want it to end)…
