Your router may not fit

CAUTION; Your router may not fit and you may need to drill new holes in the mounting plate, which can be a bit tricky. I have a Dewalt 610 and it doesn't fit. The manual says there is an adapter plate called the RA1186 that you should buy if your router is not on the list of compatible devices in the manual. It doesn't seem to exist, or at least nobody sells it. I think the table is probably fine. Seems solid and reliable, but I haven't been able to use it yet due to a compatibility issue.

Pros
  • Free for educational use
Cons
  • Small parts

Poor quality milling machine parts and accessories

The only reason I gave it a good accuracy rating is because I'm a good tool operator. All alignments for the bass have been moved at least a quarter of an inch, the index holes made for the base front door are exactly such index holes. It doesn't mean you need a cabinet hinge kit, but if you don't you can't screw one of these in, it requires a number 6 pilot hole, not a gap but a pilot. As for the suggestion of using wax, you'll need about 4lbs lol that's a poorly made bass. I'm so disappointed

Lots of great features. But the aluminum plate is not flat

Pros: 1) Works very well with the Bosch 1617 router - including height adjustment of the thru table (really nice feature) 2) The MDF table itself is solid and flat 3 ) Fence flat and perpendicular to the table 4) Dust extraction works great 5) The style of the closet is nice, with switchable outlets and storage space for parts. boxing Bosch really should have leveled the insert at the end of the casting and milling process as it clearly deformed somewhere along the way - unless you have the…

I finally fell in love with my router!

I just LOVE this table. Until I bought this I was trying to make do with used junk. THIS desk made me fall in love with my router! I have an underwater router from Porter Cable that I didn't want to use because I was trying to use it with junk. I'm new to the world of tools. I use them for creative maker projects AND for my Victorian home restoration. So I'm learning everything as I go. I like this table because it feels solid. I'm a petite woman and I love that it's sturdy enough to stay in…

Quite a learning experience.

What happened to all the positive reviews? when to start The mounting plate was so rough and uneven (NOT flat as others have noted) that it literally acted as a brake, preventing the workpiece from sliding across the surface. Repaired it by leveling it, sanding it smooth, cleaning/polishing it with fine steel wool and wax paste, and buffing it clean with a white rag. (This left no black marks on the work piece.) After all this work, the wood glides nicely across the surface. But then it's time…

Difficult mounting plate alignment

This router table has some nice features but also some flaws and disadvantages. Nice Features: * Efficient Dust Collection - The 2.5 inch port on the top does the job well. Collect dust particles, although you still need to clean the inside regularly. * Accessories included - perforated plates, trigger pin, safety guard, corner stop, etc. * Stable bugs and bugs * Guard adjustment - slide guard adjustment mechanism is not smooth, it often gets stuck in its rail Mounting plate alignment mechanism

A quality product, hard wearing, a must have in your joinery shop

I first saw this router table at my local Lowe's hardware store and was immediately hooked. I ended up buying from Revain. Revain beats everyone else's price. Ok, more about the product. A typical Bosch product for heavy-duty applications. The construction is top notch, you'll tell when you pick up the box it comes in (super heavy). I was able to assemble the router table in about 35-45 minutes. The operating instructions are for easy installation. The top of the router table is perfectly sized

NO BOSCH DEVICE on tables

When I opened the damaged packaging of this device I saw a Bosch brand sticker hanging on the front door of this device. Unfortunately, this was a harbinger of what was to follow. The aluminum face of the table router sinks deeper into the table than necessary, leaving a ridge around the insert. This leads to a material jam immediately after the start of cutting and, as a result, a deterioration of the material used.2. Although there are dozens of holes on the aluminum countertop, none of them…

Looks good from afar. So keep it away from your business.

The packaging for this was perfect when I received it, so I don't know why all these dings, dings and partial defects. Maybe Bosch decided they no longer needed quality control, or maybe they were all in a meeting because they didn't meet quality control standards. In any case, everything went pretty well and everything looked fine apart from all the imperfections found in most of the visible parts. When I went to install the fence, I found that the two halves were not parallel to each other…
