Let me just start by saying that I have installed many aftermarket 6v-12v conversions on cars from the 1920's through the 60's. I've owned a hot rod shop for 20 years. When I received this I looked at the diagram to install the physical assembly parts. The scheme was useless. However, I have looked at the installation videos and photos and they do a much better job of showing how the actual installation should go. As with the previous review, I also had to use washers/shims to better align the belt between the fan assembly and alternator. I literally ONLY took it out of the box on arrival. The shape and looks that it's going to be a fast morph generator, but that's another story. I knew before I bought it that it was a cheap alternator, but still. This generator beeps, squeaks and makes a ticking noise like a baseball card in a bicycle rim when rotated by hand. In my experience, this is an almost certain sign of premature failure. Also less of a major mechanical issue than a cosmetic issue, the fan itself is quite warped. Since…
