Good, but Cools Quickly

I had no leaking of beads yet. It seems to be sewed well. The ties are very long. The whole thing is longer than my armspan (I'm 5'1"). I don't give it five stars because he heat only lasts about 10min. It just isn't long enough. My hot water bottle stays hot much longer, but the shape doesn't fit to my neck like this does.

Pros
  • Easy to adjust to fit your specific needs
Cons
  • It may not be effective for post-surgery pain or recovery

Icing pleasently. good for me

Due to overly straining my achilles tendon in the past playing volleyball and running long distance I need to ice it everytime after running or exercising. I keep the compress in the freezer and pull it out when I need it. I had used this thermalon product before at a friend's place and was immediately impressed, and I knew what I was buying. The soft material and the gradual way in which it ices make it a very pleasant product. I used to put some ice cubes in a plastic bag, what a hassle and…

Pros
  • I love this product. I use it all the time . I have neck problems and it really helps me.
Cons
  • The wrap may not be durable enough to withstand frequent use over an extended period

Thermalon Microwave Activated Moist Heat-Cold Compress

it is just okay.Again an overpriced item.Does not stay hot as long as advertised and is unbalanced and awkward to use.Would not recommend at this price.

Pros
  • Provides a deep, penetrating heat that soothes sore muscles
Cons
  • The wrap may not provide enough pressure for deep tissue massage

Quality product works well

Product works well. The ties enable you to keep it close to your neck but still be active. Holds heat for nearly 1/2 an hour.

Pros
  • nice and feels good on my sore neck...
Cons
  • It may not provide enough support for people with neck or shoulder injuries

Thermalon wrap falls apart

I have returned one of these wraps because the seams fail and the ceramic beads fall out EVERYWHERE. The return window has just expired for the replacement I received when I returned the first one and it has started falling apart too. It's like having a leaky bean bag chair. What a mess! Don't buy this product.

Pros
  • Manufactured by a reputable, established brand
Cons
  • It may be less effective on injuries that require ice therapy

Better a relieving pain than any narcotic I've taken.

This is a very high quality item, heats in 1.5 minutes and the moist heat penetrates much faster and deeper than ordinary dry heat. It stays hot for well over 20 minutes. It fits around my husbands neck perfectly and gives him instant as well as long lasting pain releif from the stenosis in his neck.I also use it for my artheritis in my lower back and it provides instant relief.Best money I've spent in a long time.

Pros
  • Provides targeted relief to the affected areas
Cons
  • It may be less effective on areas of the neck and shoulder that are difficult to reach

Easy to use in my review

Does a great job of releaving muscle aches and pains. Heat last abt 10 -15 minutes after microwaving. Very good for neck and back pain. I recromend this for sore backs and all aches and pains.

Pros
  • Soft and comfortable to wear
Cons
  • The wrap may be too heavy for some people to wear comfortably

Don't bother in my review

The product is cheap, unattractive, not comfortable, and cools quickly. At half the price, it might be worthwhile, but I was very disappointed.

Pros
  • Wasn't sure how well it would work in the low humidity we have in Arizona. Works well
Cons
  • The wrap is bulky and may be difficult to store or transport

feels so good good for me

feels so good on back. I was using heating pad and then I went to PT and they used moist heat. all the difference in the world. I have ordered 3 more of thermalon products. waiting for them to be delivered.

Pros
  • Great hot or cold. It can be tied to stay in place!
Cons
  • If the wrap is heated for too long, it may cause burns or other injuries

Comfortable relief in my review

I was torn between giving this heat/cold wrap 3 or 4 stars. It's confortable and does provide relief when heated but cools off much sooner than I expected based on other reviews. The tiny beads shift so you may need to reshape the wrap every so often but that's not a big deal. The ties are super long and I'm considering cutting them off or at least shortening them since I don't use them.I haven't used it as a cold pack so I can't comment on how that mode works.

Pros
  • Can be a great alternative to medication for pain relief
Cons
  • It may take too long to cool down after being heated, making it less convenient for use as a cold therapy option

Great for relieving lower back pain

I've been using one for my chronic lower back pain for several years, and recently got a new one to replace it. My friend is now suffering from lower back pain and I'm buying one for her too. I've only used it warm - 77 sec. in the microwave - and tie it around my waist and can continue with my normal morning activities, like hair and makeup. Lessens the need for pain meds.

Pros
  • Soothes aches and pains in the neck and shoulder area
Cons
  • The wrap may not be effective for certain types of headaches or migraines

Love this heating pad! Great for tight shoulders

I have one of these for myself and one I use for my massage clients to help soften the muscles in the shoulders before I work on them which makes it much easier to do deep tissue work. It works great and feels wonderful. I always recommend my clients buy one for themself to use at home.I use one at home myself for two purposes- one to help my shoulders, and two to bring to bed in winter to keep warm at night :)I had mine for a year and both are still working just fine, except I had to get rid…

Pros
  • Excellent. Savior for my pulled trap muscle
Cons
  • It may not be suitable for use in certain climates or temperatures

Five Stars for my opinion

Great delivery service. I have used this product for years Great for sinus headaches, back aches, shoulder aches. The wrap may be difficult to apply and remove on your own, requiring assistance.

Pros
  • Health Care
Cons
  • The wrap may be difficult to apply and remove on your own, requiring assistance

Better than the competitors

This is the best product made to ease pain from inflammation in the neck. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was the prior version that was 6 inches longer was easier to use while walking around.

Pros
  • It is as soothing compress and it was easy to use. The default of 1:30 in the microwave worked nicely.
Cons
  • The wrap may not be suitable for people with certain medical conditions or disabilities

My favorite best in my review

This is my most favorite thing to use as a heating element on my neck and shoulders. I do about a minute and a half in the microwave for my neck and shoulders. And it is great if you want to warm your feet at night I heat it for two minutes and put it at my feet in the bed near my feet and it definitely gets my feet warm so I can go to sleep and stays warm for a good hour or more until I can fall asleep.

Pros
  • Love this product. It's the best. Must have
Cons
  • The wrap may not be suitable for use with certain medications or medical conditions

Try it, you’ll love it!

I can’t believe I never got one of these before now. I’ve always had neck problems and am now doing physical therapy. I got this at the suggestion of my physical therapist. It makes a huge difference in my flexibility and range of motion! It totally helps relax the muscles in my neck and shoulders. Love it!

Pros
  • This is better than advertised. It works great and what more can you say , smiling
Cons
  • Smelly after a few uses

Did help with pain.

Provides a nice, warm, moist heat. It's a little bit heavy and awkward. I also wish it would stay warm longer. Fabric seems like it will snag fairly easily. It did help with my neck pain.

Pros
  • Perfect. Wife uses this all the time. She loves it.
Cons
  • The wrap may lose its effectiveness over time due to wear and tear

Sweet relief: my feedback

I have a lot of arthritis in my neck from a severe car accident years ago. It can get pretty painful and this neck wrap with moist heat does wonders for relieving the pain. Just pop it in the microwave for a minute, wrap it around you neck and go about your business and you neck pain will less by an incredible amount.

Pros
  • It works very well and I like the fact you can tie it around your neck, arm leg etc.
Cons
  • It requires a microwave to heat up, which may not be readily available in some settings

Excellent Therapy Wrap

I have used this Thermalon Microwave Activated Moist Heat-Cold Compress, for heat therapy and cold therapy on my neck. I have arthritis in my neck, and I don't know how I lived without this compress for so many years. The heat therapy works great to relax my neck muscles, when they're stiff. The cold therapy works great for cooling off, on a hot summer day. It also works very well to cool down my body, for the occasional hot flash. I think everyone should have one of these Thermalon Microwave…

Pros
  • Convenient and feel good on my neck and shoulders. Helps me falling asleep at night too.
Cons
  • It may take several minutes to heat up in the microwave, making it less convenient for quick relief

Great with heat! on my review.

A great product. I've been using this for over a month now, and it still retains heat well for at least 30 minutes at a time.

Pros
  • Can be easily heated up in a microwave and cooled in a freezer
Cons
  • It may not be effective for certain muscle or joint injuries
