If you’re looking for a smartphone wallet, then the MyCelium wallet might be a great fit for you. Sending and receiving can be almost instantaneous, making it decent for storing and using small amounts of Bitcoin. The only drawback is the potential security threats of it being online. As with any device that is continually online storing private keys, security is never 100% guaranteed. While you likely won’t have a problem with security, it’s worth noting that the use of a hardware wallet that keeps your funds offline would be a much more secure option.

MyCelium was a good wallet back in the day but now there are much more professional and cleaner wallets available. This app confuses new users because it has so many buttons, screens and options.

Pros
  • The MyCelium wallet is a great product and a fruit of super hard work and the best part is that it is available to anyone wanting to try it out because it’s FREE! -Strong industry-wide reputation. -Super well-known and established, Open-source. -Integrates with a range of services, including hardware wallets TREZOR and Ledger. -Offers several account types. -Fast connection to the bitcoin network.
Cons
  • -No ability to sign messages. -No desktop interface, Optimization not great on iOS devices. -May not be ideal for beginners.
