Quality tools made in Taiwan

The tools are a quality product made in Taiwan. I'm a fan of US made instruments, but I've found that when I'm forced to go down that route, the Taiwan made instruments are superior to those in mainland China. The plastic housing encloses a fitting that diverts most liquids/gases through the slots on the sides when there is pressure in the line that you cannot vent. The plastic edges were molded cleanly with no visible dross or defects. The springs on each tool are strong, and both plastic halves of each size fit the other half almost perfectly. In other words, slop is minimal or non-existent. I own pretty much every other type and brand of release tool on the market so I have something to compare when reviewing this product. The two smaller plastic tools are designed as adapters to fit into one of the tools (yellow I think) for two smaller sizes if needed. A small metal tool for power lines. I haven't used all of them, but the one I used worked perfectly. I decided to buy this complete set instead of the green/yellow Ford set as the complete set wasn't much more expensive than the Ford 2 piece set. As with all disconnection tools, you must learn how to use them before disconnecting. In my experience, most other mechanics who break plastic cutting tools do so because they are quick to jam the tool and try to cut the cable in a hurry. I've had more success by improving the tool and doing multiple attempts that usually unplug without damaging my tool. If this doesn't affect the connector's seals, I sometimes spray the connector with Teflon or silicone spray before using the tool. I don't usually like to keep the packaging as most of the time it is junk but in this case I keep the tools in their original packaging to keep them in my roll as this keeps them clean and tidy and protects them from being damaged by a other tool protects. The packaging was easy to open and snap open, unlike some that require you to use a knife or scissors to open. I expect these tools to last as long as I need them but would not hesitate to buy from this supplier again if needed.
