This soft blanket is perfect for your little ones! This is not a mid-weight blanket and is well worth the premium price compared to some $30-$45 versions. The outer edge of the ceiling is not weighted for safety reasons. This is a soft fiberfill for kids who like to keep their blanket close to their face to make it safer. My energetic 3 year old takes 45 minutes to 1 hour to fall asleep at night. After a few days of use, he became more immobile in bed and fell asleep in less time. To keep him in bed we told him it was like his mom hugging him all night. Let's see how the further use goes.
