Acceptable substitute for disposable Swiffer cloths but awkward to clean. They pick up dust and hair from the floor just as (or better) than Swiffer sheets, but I find I pull dirt off the fabric before I put it in the wash. Sometimes I suck. Sometimes I wash by hand. I wonder why I don't just vacuum and mop the floor the old fashioned way. Some people say that fleece rags can be used for wet mopping. When water is used (I use Mister) they don't pick up anything and just smear dirt on the floor. If you don't mind not throwing disposable sheets in the trash, rags are an acceptable alternative. .
