Inside is literally a double stack of yellow measuring tape. I noticed that with this "antenna" I could not receive the local NWS, which I pick up loud and clear with my stick antenna. nothing but two measuring tapes in there. I removed the lid and sure enough I saw yellow. Then I folded the elastic back and of course it was a tape measure.

I thought I would buy a real Abree foldable antenna, but I got the equivalent of a McDonald's straw with non-working internal parts. Twice as thin as Abbere's original, this fake is just a piece of junk. I've included a few photos to show how flimsy it is in comparison, as well as the original's packaging (green and nicely wrapped in bubble wrap) and that straw with antenna markings.

I used this on my beofeng MURS V-1 radio. I use it extensively for looks. It works well and I drove 0.9 miles in a very crowded area before noticing the slightest sign of static electricity. I haven't tested this further but I'm sure it will be fine up to 1-1 1/2 miles in the woods where I will be using it. One thing I noticed is that if you leave it folded for a long period of time, it slowly returns to its upright position, so I keep it fully unfolded.

After figuring out what SMA connector I need for my Baofeng I ordered the 18.8 inch model. Delivered quickly and in good condition. Bought to redirect my 40" Abbree flat antenna from the front of my license plate bracket to the rear and it worked great. Signal transmission/reception is not obstructed by the cable. My only gripe is that the connection style rules out any possibility of weatherproofing, but since I'm only using it with a stock Baofeng BF8-HP it wasn't that waterproof to begin with. When I saw this product for the first time I thought it's some kind of trick. After looking at YouTube reviews and then trying it out, it seems to do exactly what it claims to do. It's not the longest of the versions, but it's still ridiculously long. However, it works as promised. You can fold it up and still use it and carry it around.
