Works well enough but you can tell it's cheap hardware

Does not include screwdriver to adjust calibration. The cap on top of the prism is too loose. Otherwise, it works very well for seawater lovers.

All water details include salt

Difficult to read, maybe I'm doing it wrong but followed the instructions. I found it difficult to read. My niece wanted to try it out so she tested my fresh water tanks, brackish water tanks and a new sealed water bottle. I go through the numbers, cleaning and drying them between readings. Apparently there is salt in everything. Tap water and bottled water are the same.

The quality and accuracy is very impressive for the price.

Quality matches the price. Sure, a $100 refractometer might be a bit heavier etc., but it's reliable and functional at a very low price. The view through the scope is excellent. Since this thing uses the principles of physics, I believe that after a good calibration it will measure salinity as well as anything else. Mine came uncalibrated but it's okay things break on delivery. calibrate, use. It's good. Every $20 refractometer on Amazon seems to be the same, so I think if you buy the same…
