Installed per instructions. The hook held for several days and then fell. Did it 3 times and then gave up and came back.

Great buy because it holds up well and can be put anywhere We needed hooks for our granddaughter who was staying with us for a week and didn't want to add permanent gear to the shower. These hooks were the perfect solution @ brushed nickel bathroom fixtures (can be removed once grandpa is gone). Excellent purchase!

I installed the two suction hooks in my shower which have solid sections, not tiles. An interesting way to attach hook: 1) Clean the application area, 2) Press the hook onto the application site with the black area down, then 3) Rotate the metal piece clockwise about 1/2 inch while applying pressure. until it stops 4) Release the pressure and the hook is installed. When ready to remove, 1) apply pressure, 2) rotate the piece of metal counterclockwise about 1/2 inch, and 3) release the pressure.

This hook is definitely a big step forward over ordinary hooks. I use it in the kitchen to hang towel rails and love how the stainless steel matches my appliances. I attached it directly to the closet and it has held strong ever since. I've added a photo so you can see it in situ. Having such a beautiful hook is a small detail in the overall picture of things, but it helps give my kitchen a sophisticated look. Also, I'm glad I didn't have to drill and screw a hole. At first I wasn't sure how big they were and how well they would hold up. Luckily they look great and are well made! Make sure you properly and thoroughly clean the surface you are going to transfer it to and allow it to vacuum on its own for about a night to ensure full and proper firmness/integrity. Pretty nipple hooks. So far they're holding up well, although IME only shows time with suckers (they always seem to lose their stick after a while). I have them by the glass shower screen (outside), holding a mop on one side and a body brush on the other. They also work on tile, but I prefer the grip on glass.
