Machined but difficult to install, scratches very easy to finish and has very sharp and poorly finished inner edges which scratches the cornices badly. I wouldn't buy them again. Other problems too, but you have to get an idea.

These staples are strong and will get the job done BUT the edges inside the rings are sharp and dangerous to handle. Also, these edges will come off the color of the bars as you thread them through the rings. Assembly requires careful attention as the screw holes are not the same on all mounting rings, so I recommend aligning the rings and then making marks for the holes to be drilled.

Nice to look at and easy to assemble. One of the brackets was a little warped and my 1" rod didn't get through which was a nuisance, but the seller sent me a replacement and got back to me quickly. Also I took the star off because the screws are silver and didn't look good on the black mount so I painted them before fitting but they look very nice and I would buy them again if needed...there were still more.

This product looked better in person than the photos. And it's very easy to install as it comes with the anchors and screws you need to get the job done. The downside is that they are not well made. I adjusted one slightly because it didn't fit the rod I bought and when I tried to turn it with a tightened screw it broke. A little easy. The final downside is the screws were silver and the part I bought was oil bronze so they didn't fit. But otherwise the product is great and looks great!

All three screws BROKEN when trying to install the first bracket. The three holes are arranged in such a way that the screws cannot be drilled straight. You will need to drill them at an angle as the round part holding the rod will overlap the screw holes! Designing these brackets with FOUR screw holes would be so simple and easy to install. I had to attach the brackets to the ceiling which was not a pleasant experience. So the brackets marked for use on my ceiling were just what I needed. I have a very long window in my living room with horrible vertical blinds that I can't remove.
