Great socks for walking or running all day

These socks are great for all day walking or running. My teenager plays in the school band and has to wear black socks. She has to wear them for 12 hours on competition days. Because she is running, the other socks have left blisters or sores on her feet that will cause pain over the next few days as she needs to heal while continuing her activities. Since she got these socks, she hasn't had any blisters or sores. At the end of these long days, her legs only hurt in the muscles. I'm glad I…

Don't buy these socks - painful, lumpy, sweaty

I take good care of my feet. I bought this brand of socks many years ago, they have been great and have lasted for years. So when it came time to buy new socks, I didn't hesitate to buy more. Balega must have changed yarn, my feet are tingling and sweating. There also seems to be a lot of lumpy protruding threads inside. So that it wasn't "just me", I put on an older pair of the same brand yesterday - the old socks didn't cause any lumps of sweat. Perhaps the worst aspect of the purchase (apart

Pros

Cons
  • Doesn't go with everything

I love Balega Socks

A few years ago I discovered Balega socks. Although they may seem a bit pricey, their comfort and durability make them worth the investment. My first pair were low-cut running socks that I bought when I was a wildfire fighter. My training meant I ran almost every day and these socks are still going strong over a decade later. They have been very well made with high quality materials. I have since bought several pairs of Balegas. Like all the other models I've bought, this pair did not…

Pros
  • Mesh construction for extra ventilation; Shock absorption cushioning
Cons
  • Nothing here

Great socks for training and hiking!

I have several Balega socks that I love and use regularly for training and hiking. The Endure V-Tech Crew Socks are another nice addition to my athleisure collection when I need a longer sock. Balega socks are soft, fairly thick (medium volume as described) and warm, but somehow light and breathable. The fit and compression are perfect, not tight. The socks protect me from blisters when I'm out on day hikes, but all of the Balega socks I own (not just the Endure V-Tech) do the same (not just…
