Suitable for zucchini

My son loves stuffed courgettes from Lebanon and since I broke my regular courgettes I decided on this one. It's not the easiest to use, but it's working well so far. It's a little bulky and too jagged, I wish it had flat edges to give it a smooth core. It generally works until I find a better one with smooth edges.

If you love stuffed zucchini, then this product is for you!

I liked the handle of the plastic punch. I was happy to see teeth on both sides. I have found the angle to pull out the zucchini pulp is better not to push it in too far otherwise it will be difficult to pull out. The price was way better than some I've looked at. I just want to show you that you don't have to pay more to have something good.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • embarrassing

It's good for kitchen utensils and gadgets

if anyone needs this tool for the same purpose as me. I bought this for slicing zucchini as I like to stuff them with beef stew mixture. I was hoping the tool could have a larger diameter for a clean stroke on thicker zucchini, it will work on thinner ones too. I'll keep it, it's a good tool and I might buy smaller zucchini next time. I will also buy apple seeds and that might help with thick zucchini,

Pros
  • Large selection

Also great for cutting the core of jalapeno peppers!

I don't know how to remove the core from zucchini - does anyone eat zucchini? - but this tool works like a charm for the jalapeno seed, which is what we use it for. We eat a lot of jalapenos and always clean them with water so the fumes and gases don't harm anyone. This little device does its job so well that no water is needed in the process. All you have to do is insert the blade from the end of the stem to the bottom of the pepper, twist it around the stem until a full cut is completed, andโ€ฆ

Excellent tool - so easy to use

Check out the pictures I've uploaded to see what stuffed zucchini looks like. I used Chuck Williams' stuffed zucchini recipe from his book The Williams-Sonoma Cookbook and Cookware Guide (it's an AWESOME book by the way) and made just a few changes (instead of water I used 1/2 cup water and 1/2 cups of dry white wine). I also took the zucchini out of the pot at the end and reduced the sauce to thicken it. It's a great tool to get the job done. Push it in and twist it and it forms a naturalโ€ฆ
