🛠️ Efficient Sanding Power: BLACK+DECKER BDERO100 Random Sander for a Flawless Finish Review

Good grinder at a good price. Great for the homeowner. The item is listed as 5 amp rating but it is only a 2 amp grinder. Not an obstacle to use, but a distortion.

If I could zero this grinder, I would. First time using since I just got it and the grinder barely spins and then it doesn't press against the wood. If it presses against a tree, it will almost completely stop rotating. I spent 20 minutes sanding a very small piece of wood but the paint is still on the wood. I used 80 grit sandpaper which is more than enough to sand down the paint but not with that horrible sander. That's a big waste of money. Spend a few bucks more and get one that's worth it.

About a year later this grinder just blew my mind. I'm a woodworker and have used (and probably abused) this thing quite a bit, so I'd say the lifespan of this tool was very reasonable for the price. I'm pretty picky when it comes to palm grinders so I'd say this grinder will last in the right hands for years with normal use. The biggest limiting factor for this grinder is the dust collection port/filter, which wasn't very reliable or durable. After only a few deflations, the seal never seated…

Wow, great tool for the price! I wasn't expecting much but this unit performs decently, isn't noisy and performs incredibly well for the price! The bag fills up with dust very quickly, you know this because there will be dust everywhere so just drop it every 10 minutes and you should be fine. I don't know why so many people are not picky about this grinder, it's under $30! Just deal with it or spend triple the price and you have nothing to complain about. Time!

The BDERO100 ROS worked well as it did for me. It is powerful and picks up dust better than expected. Unfortunately it stopped working for me after only 2 uses in 2 months. The power button no longer works properly. Basically, it renders the device unusable. 3 year update buy it now don't waste time looking elsewhere. This is the best bang for my buck ever. I abuse this grinder and only now do I notice that the foam pad is wearing down a bit. The engine and looks are still great and I think I can replace the foam pad. Update: 2 years later and a ton of heavy use later this thing still works. UPDATE 1 YEAR: still great! After the table, I've used it for dozens of jobs, but the most important ones: stripping and repainting a car roof, sanding a fence, two doors, and uneven drywall. There was only one piece of sandpaper in the kit, but that's not a problem because I wasn't even expecting it. I got more from my local Home Depot which was a different brand but didn't have any compatibility issues.
