They should have this I think

The money they charge for a new filter and installation is a crime against humanity. While this filter is a lot cheaper than most, it's more expensive than it should be. This is a fairly large coffee filter in a paper frame. Maybe you could make a cheap reusable one. In any case, this is only good for catching leaves and bugs. But in general it's cheaper to do it yourself. It's easy, takes five minutes and requires no tools.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Almost everything is fine

This filter is about the right size. However, this is the only argument that speaks for him. The Honda part is about 1/2 inch larger all around. There is a rigid plastic frame with sponge surrounding the 3 outsides to seal the blower/air conditioner. This filter is too small, it's just a 2-ply fiber surrounding 4 sides, no gasket. I am using it temporarily until the OEM Honda part I ordered arrives.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Volume

3 stars for this reason

I give this product 3 stars because I am sure that it filters out more dust and particles because the holes in the material are narrower and have fewer gaps, this a density and gaps result in MUCH LESS air entering the cabin. It's like covering the vents with a blanket. A significant difference from previous filters I've used. And when it's 115 in Arizona, the last thing I want is cold air blowing at me to cool me down.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Protection

No air flow in the cabin Air filter

This filter iced up my Kia Optima Hybrid EX air conditioner so much that it stopped working. The car literally did not cool down due to the low airflow, which in turn caused the evaporator to freeze, since not enough warm air passed through it. I could see this when the filter was very dirty, but it was brand new. I would be surprised if Kia would consider this filter out of warranty if your compressor is stuck. I reverted to the default filter.

Garbage. Shouldn't have been done.

Don't buy this filter! Compare the number of pleats on the blue Bosch filter with the number of pleats on the OEM white filter. Less wrinkling = less surface = less flow (ceteris paribus). My OEM filter was very dirty so despite the obvious surface difference I fitted a Bosch filter and found out the hard way that this filter wasn't good: my AC airflow was almost completely gone with the Bosch filter since my fan to push polluted air through. I reinstalled the dirty OEM filter and flow was…

Air filter to reduce cabin air flow

As already mentioned, with this filter you have a reduced air flow. As far as is appropriate, there weren't any issues on my 2016 Equinox, the only issue is that I couldn't find any information on which direction the airflow indicator should go. I've seen videos where the airflow should be both up and down. I called the dealer and they said it didn't matter but I think they are based on stock air filters. It filters well, but I've only had it for a few days. I'll be replacing this as the…
