Not quite right.: High mount brake lights

I am giving this product 4 stars because it does not fit quite right and no waterproof wire connector is supplied. means of transportation. These lights should have a rubber plug around the wires to connect them. means of transportation. This one doesn't have it. Pretty easy.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Slightly cracked

Very bright, best in High Mount Stop Lights

Removing the balaclava wasn't the easiest job in the world, but I figured it would be better than splicing cables. I wish it came with a new wire connector that goes between the inside of my truck and the outside where the wires go. I had to use my old one until I got to an auto parts store. You should be aware that if you are replacing this down to the fitting you will need a new one. Otherwise it's bright and hope it lasts.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Disappear

Good product, not "plug and play "

"Plug and play" is a far cry from the term I would use to describe the installation process. I have a 97 F150 so I'm not sure if the wiring is the same on a 97-04 span but if yours is from the same year you will need to remove the headliner and/or bend it as there is a hazard that he will be dented. I wouldn't blame this company for the poor design chosen by Ford, but I think the "plug and play" principle is wrong. I'm leaning more towards a simple installation that takes time if you don't want

Installation Instructions: Lighting and Lighting Accessories

Works perfectly. It is highly recommended that the manufacturer add a grommet to the wiring harness to keep water out in the rain. It's plug and play, but to get the old wiring harness out you have to pry the white grommet out of the hole. On my truck (Cab Double, non Super Crew, 2002 F150 XLT) take the two clips that secure the back of the headliner to the roof, remove the rear hanger brackets and fold down the corner panels, clipping the headliner directly behind slide the plastic corners…

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than other picks

Great for 2001 F-150 SuperCrew

I bought this to replace a bad high mount tail light/truck body cargo light. The one on my truck was old and falling apart. Even new lightbulbs could not be installed because the plugs had rotted. When I got this I went to work and replaced the one that was on my truck with it. It doesn't come with a grommet as others have mentioned, but if you know your way around you can reuse the same grommet that was on the old lantern. You should cut it so that it can be removed without completely falling…

Pros
  • This is great
Cons
  • Some bugs
