Functional restriction suitable for hubs and controllers

Este equipment no controla de manera correcta los aires de la marca Daikin. El controller solo usa las funciones basicas del aire acondicionado

Pros
  • Robust finish
Cons
  • Other interesting options are available.

Really great MQTT IR device.

Works great with Home Assistant using MQTT. This is the best IR solution I've found. The app for this is really weak, but once connected to the network and the home assistant, you don't need the app anymore anyway. Excellent IR MQTT device.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Socket required

Not easy to set up; Doesn't work with Somfy blinds

It took almost a day and a half to fiddle with my modem to get it off 5GHz and get it working on 2.4GHz. Then, after all that, I apparently found out that automating Somfy blinds wouldn't work because they use rolling code. It was a huge waste of time and money.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Negative present

OK, but it could be better.

This works as advertised but I don't see why it doesn't have Bond's RF capabilities. Before purchasing, make sure you have checked the radio frequency of your device. RM4pro only supports RF315MHz (band 305335MHz) and 433MHz (band: 430440MHz). Bond supports lower and higher frequencies in the 300-450MHz range. However, Broadlink supports more IR actions than Bond, so it serves its primary purpose. I would use Bond for RF and Broadlink for IR.

Pros
  • Easy setup
Cons
  • Quality

I had to return my first one as I thought it was defective. Every time I tried to set it up, the device would time out after it connected to my wifi, even though I could see in my router settings that it was connected. After much searching and a lot of frustration, I finally figured out how to do this, turned off the router, set up a Wi-Fi hotspot on the phone with the same name and password as the router, and used a separate phone to set up the device. Then disable your broadband, reconnect…

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Update available
