Description of ๐ŸŒ— CHICOLOGY Day N' Night Cotton Cordless Cellular Shades for Privacy and Blackout - 30" W x 48" H

CURRENT SIZE SELECTED: Actual cellular shade width is 29. 75 in. wide (Pre-Cut 0. 25 in. from the size you selected). Maximum shade height (when fully extended) is 48 in. from top to bottom. Also works well for smaller heights (you will just have a slight fabric stack at the bottom). If INSIDE MOUNT: this shade will fit perfectly inside a 30 in. x 48 in. opening. If OUTSIDE MOUNT: the shade will be exactly 29. 75 in. x 48 in. 2-in-1: Light Filtering shade on the top, Blackout shade on the bottom. Easily switch between light filtering and total blackout with this two-in-one shade. For example, on days when you want to enjoy the warm sun, use the Light Filtering shade to create a gentle shade. When you need complete privacy or want to keep cool, use the Blackout shade to block out all views and rays. Durable, energy saving honeycomb cells always keep your home well insulated and save you money on energy bills. Keeping your home cool during summer and warm during winter.

The quality is so-so. I sent these (3) back after I bought them because they didn't hang straight (the bottom half always hung at an angle). Don't pull in very nicely for over a hundred bucks each or pull down. Return requested, return label sent. A week after getting them back, no reply. Magically, after complaining to Revain, they said the refund was processed.

Pros
  • 2-in-1: light filter curtain on top, blackout curtain on bottom. Easily switch between light filtering and complete blackout with this two-in-one umbrella.
Cons
  • No instructions

Very smart - love them

I need both light blocking from the uncomfortable light from the neighbors on the porch and light filtering to be able to work in the mornings. They can do this without much material if the curtain fabric gets caught with cat fur etc. The initial annoyance was that one of them rose evenly. I tried a few things to fix it myself but no so I contacted Chicology support. Kudos for the quick response that fixed the issue. Another thing to keep in mind is a 6 inch stack of blinds at its most compact.

Pros
  • Durable, energy efficient honeycomb cells will always keep your home well insulated and save money on your energy bills. The house is cool in summer and warm in winter.
Cons
  • Outside

Great concept. Not very big brackets.

The good news: These blinds work well and look decent. The dimming fraction is 100% and the light filtering works great to let light through. The bad news: the installation was a headache. The top of the blinds have to snap onto the brackets, which I found to be an almost impossible task. The clip will keep crushing the lip it is designed to snap onto until the plastic tears. Then I removed the brackets and moved them closer together and got the same result. I had to stretch/pry the plasticโ€ฆ

Pros
  • For example, on days when you want to enjoy the warm sun, use Light Filtering to create a soft hue. Whether you need complete privacy or want to stay cool, use the blackout tint to block all glare and rays.
Cons
  • I vaguely remember
