Not really "all natural " synthetic bristles

I bought this item because it was advertised as "all natural". The brush I received is clearly not the same. The bristles have a perfectly smooth texture with a very plastic sheen, not at all like natural fibers. There is no color difference between the bristles at all. And because I was suspicious, I cut off a bristle and held it to the fire - the end melted into a ball. I don't know of any natural fiber that melts when burned.

Pros
  • Beautiful, functional and environmentally friendly
Cons
  • Easy care

Large household brush

I got this to clean a leather sofa and it worked really well. At first a few bristles fell out here and there and I found two that were unusually long and didn't fall out when pulled, but if I trim a little and discard the fallen bristles they look nice now. I like that the brush is a bit stiff and can be softened in warm water. Overall the brushes seem to last a long time and I plan to order more for general cleaning in the future.

Pros
  • Tampico plant bristles; offers more water absorption than plastic bristles
Cons
  • Style 90

Pretty good scrubbing brush but sheds too much

I like this brush with a few caveats. It feels pretty solid and feels good in my hand - it's comfortable to hold. The bristles are stiff, just what I wanted. It is made from renewable raw materials. I would give 5 stars for all of that. 4 stars because the bristles fall out faster than I think they should. While I was expecting the bristles to fall out here and there, the bristles are coming out quicker than I care to see. Of course I might be being too rough on the usage but for me the scraper

  • All natural scrubbing brush

Great concept; Hands On Care

Our family wants to encourage more companies to create sustainable, abuse-free products, so we were thrilled when we did this did I saw this as a replacement for our cheap Target shower scrubber. This is a very nice piece, especially for a tile scraper. The wood is smooth and comfortable to hold, with no splinters. And the material dries surprisingly quickly. We deducted one star for functionality: The bristles deform very quickly with use - and not particularly hard (it's a washcloth, after…

Poorly finished / BLACKED to give 5 stars

When the brush arrived it had no bristles (there was an empty hole on the bottom of the handle). I gently (GENTLY!) pulled on the adjacent stubble and it came out very easily. Almost no effort was required to remove it or insert it into the hole. Each bristle is made up of several strands of material (Tampico, I think) twisted in half and then joined together with a small, thin piece of metal in a "bend"; This metal tip is then inserted into the hole in the handle with the bristles sticking…

Love love love this brush! (Update THREE YEARS!)

After reading other reviews I decided to season this brush before using it. I soaked it in a bucket of water for a day to tighten the holes where the bristles are inserted. That's exactly what he describes. The brush is perfect for children's rooms and work! I read in a review that the bristles are not natural. It's absolutely bristly, made from agave. My pet squirrel had to be put on the porch to keep them away from them! (She loves agave) So far this brush has been used to clean just over…

Pros
  • Easy setup
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
