Good quality and accurate dimensions.

I'm building a robot frame from two of these plates. They were true to size, perfectly smooth and fit my application perfectly. I plan to buy more. The photo is a CAD rendering of how I use it.

Pros
  • Carbon fiber
Cons
  • Some little things

A bit expensive

I find it a bit expensive for a small piece of material. But it can be processed very well, without corners and edges. Used a table saw to cut it to size and a hole saw to cut out the required hole to fit the tool. Looks great. My original intention was to make the part out of a 1/16" piece of aluminum and then paint it crumpled black paint. The decision to use carbon fiber material is because it has a nicer finish than store bought and has never been touched up or needs to be repainted.

Pros
  • raw material
Cons
  • discontinued model

Perfect Square Piece Uniform Pattern Strong Light Square Clean Edges nasty thing. I have found that 400 or 600 grit sandpaper works well to break up the edges without rounding the edges too much. If you need to sand any contours / fill the container with water, add a drop or two of dish soap and leave the sandpaper in the water for a few minutes. This makes the sandpaper less hard and makes it easier to sand cutouts, corners, etc. I have successfully used CA glue (superglue) to glue the parts…
