🔧 Coupler Repair Kit - Upgraded Coupler Replacement Latch (2-inch, 3500 lbs) Review

Easy installation, just install the parts in the order they were assembled. I had a faulty latch that didn't fully tighten on my hitch ball. This new hitch latch was just what I needed to keep my trailer securely on the hitch ball.

Fits and works perfectly but installation was a little more difficult than expected. The problem is that it takes a lot of force to compress the spring enough to fit onto the lock nut and there are no helpful instructions. After several unsuccessful attempts, I finally decided to compress the spring with pliers and temporarily secure it with plastic ties. This allowed me to tighten the nut, then I simply cut the zip ties with a pocket knife and torqued the nut onto the ball hitch!

I broke the clutch assembly on my log splitter and ordered to have it replaced instead of charging $50 for the entire assembly. The replacement was pretty easy, the hardest part was figuring out the location of the springs. I finally figured it out and then checked the fit to the ball. Loosening or tightening the nut adjusts how tight the clamp holds on the ball. In general, a fairly decent replacement part.
