Great car - compared to Black & Decker

I spent a lot of time reading other people's reviews trying to figure out if the Black & Decker One Cup was the best deal. I had an old B&D for 4 years and it worked great. But this coffee maker is better, albeit a little more expensive. + No more overflow when using finely ground coffee. + No cleaning mess throwing coffee grounds out of the permanent basket. + Very durable stainless steel cups (but have to be washed by hand) + Coffee tastes better. - The "on" switch on the side allows you to…

suitable for home with only ONE coffee maker

I bought this for my husband when we got married two years ago. He was the only one drinking coffee and taking a large cup for one seemed silly. It worked great, the cups alone are worth it. Then, a year later, I realized that coffee with the right cream (vanilla caramel) is good. So I started using it too. It was used daily for 2 years in a row and has now finally died. It only fills the cup 1/4 full and then you have to run over it (and over and over again). However, it is definitely worth…

One big chaos best in Kitchen & Dining

My husband and I received this coffee maker just over a week ago. Tried 4 times. Out of the 4 times we've used it, it's spilled all over the counter and floor twice. A hot mess to clean up. Coffee maker disaster. I've never seen anything like it, and we've brewed a lot of coffee in our lives, not that we're new to coffee making. Travel mugs are not bad, but the price for two travel mugs is quite high. I will try to find another brand with a better design. Shocked at how poorly this Cuisinart…

Bad experience

Based on the other high ratings, looks like it could be a great coffee maker. Unfortunately, my experience with two of these machines was unfortunate. Both were defective. I returned the first car because it didn't stand up to inspection. It gushed out from the bottom of the device. I returned the car for exchange because it had the opposite problem - water stayed in the unit. I didn't feel like trying it a third time, so I decided to try a different brand and model. I really think it was an…

So good I bought two.

I don't drink coffee all day but I need my first drink in the morning. That's enough for brewing. Sometimes I brew at home and take it with me (the first car), and sometimes I wait until I get to work (the second). The coffee is perfect every time, clean up is easy and I love the fact that it turns itself off after brewing - I never have to remind myself of that! I had another two cup coffee maker that I wrecked when I forgot to flip the switch from one cup to two cup and the overflowing water…

Step Back Cuisinart

I've been using the Cuisinart TTG-500 Two-to-Go for years. I was so pleased with the performance that I bought a new one to replace it. However, the new replacement now has a different type of switch that is difficult to turn on. Once it is on, it cannot be turned off with the switch until it has completed the full cycle and turned off. Even if you unplug the device, the switch will not return to the off position. When the machine comes back online, it's on instead of off, even if it takes…

Fatal flaw in a durable product

Many reviews mention that the power button stops working after a while. Mine broke after 2 days. This is because there is a serious flaw somewhere in the production of the product and the button simply fails at a very high rate. I bought one of these at a department store and it wouldn't turn on and off at all. I then bought another one from Revain hoping to fix the problem and get a better deal but now the button on this one has stopped working after 2 DAYS! Since I otherwise like the design…
