Document cameras are teacher approved

I am a primary school teacher and need a document camera for distance learning. I can share the screen while the scanning software is open and students can see what I'm writing in real time. It's also useful for scanning notes for absent students. Setup was quick and easy, and the picture is clear. Great buy for the price.

Pros
  • Easy to install
Cons
  • Available in black only

This is an excellent visualizer. In fact, I returned it and bought the next model just because the program didn't have the ability to scan hardcover books. When you need to scan unbound documents quickly and reliably. It is extremely portable, easy to install, if you don't have a floppy drive the software is available on the website.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Not sure

Does NOT work with Mac as claimed

The listing (and on their website) says the scanner works with Mac. The software included in the package is for Windows ONLY. Your website does not provide Mac software downloads for this scanner. The only link I could find was for another product and the Mac software for it doesn't install when using the serial number of that scanner (Shine 800 Pro). I needed it for an urgent order and bought it because it was delivered quickly. Without the ability to install software, I'm stuck. They do NOT…

Incredible value! for office electronics

I am a teacher and historian. I wanted a scanner that I could use as a camera for online learning but also take to the library and use to scan documents. This was in my price range so I decided to give it a try. First of all, don't worry about the software CD, you can just as easily download it from the website. Second, the scans are ridiculously clear and consistent. I was scanning from a book and didn't really expect the image to "flatten out" but it did! From there I was even able to clip…

The software is very good and there are some serious problems

There are some serious problems with this product.1. The camera does not cover the black area even when fully raised. Which is quite uncomfortable.2. The lighting button on the camera rotates forever.3. The software is quite buggy and not intuitive.4. The curve correction is greatly overestimated. Sometimes it's almost impossible. Apparently it needs an equal curve for each side. So if you are at the beginning or end of a thick book this won't work as one side is pretty flat. Doesn't work well…

Perfect for speech therapists!

I'm a speech therapist at school. When the pandemic broke out last spring, I borrowed a fairly old document viewer from a teacher to use at home for speech and language therapy. It worked great after a complicated setup, but now that we're all starting online, the teacher needs it. (Probably!) I know my county doesn't have the money to buy me another one, so I just wanted to try and limp without it. Very difficult as I use many objects and sequence cards in my therapy. I found this online and…

It works, but doesn't like special characters or big books.

I'm a slow reader and medical student, I have a lot of books to read and digest. I purchased this product to digitize my books for personal use (as many of these books are not published in digital or audio format). I scanned and it did a good job of scanning pages; However, it didn't do a good job of flattening pages when exporting to PDF, even when that was selected. Of course, I scanned pages from a 600-page book. Because these pages weren't completely flat, and when I used the OCR system…

Stylish and portable scanner!

Another Czur scanner, the Czur Aura Pro, I have had for about 20 months now. Love it! As a scientist, I keep scanning objects for my research, teaching and yes, also for my official work. I have recommended it to my colleagues over and over again. I jumped at the opportunity to purchase the Czur Shine Ultra for its advanced features. It's smaller and lighter than the Czur Aura Pro (weighing just 2.2 pounds), so it's just as light and packable as a thin laptop. Both scan up to A3 format…

Easy to use. You can use more flexible lighting

This scanner is easy to install and use. To set up, simply connect the included USB cable to the scanner and your computer's USB port. Once connected, I downloaded the latest drivers and software from the manufacturer's website. They come on a CD that came with the scanner, but I always check websites for updates so I just downloaded the software while I was there. The scanner is simply a camera mounted on an L-shaped stand with its arm extending out of the scanning area. Next to the camera are

I really, really wanted to like it but it had some issues

I have many old books that I would love to read on my Kindle when they are not at home and they are in this format not available. I thought this scanner might be the way to get them in Kindle format so I decided to give it a try. I was SUPER impressed with the look of the device when it arrived. Very nicely packaged and the workmanship of the device appears to be of high quality. However, the first snag I encountered was installing the software. I used the CD that came with it, entered the long
