Only 2 out of 3 sensors work.

We had water in our basement recently and when I found Govee's water sensors at Revain's he thought they would be perfect for monitoring our basement for flooding. We have had the system for about 2 months now and there is 1 sensor that keeps failing. Reset and error again after a few days. I've also tried removing and re-adding the sensor (several times) and after a few days the same thing, it fails. Unfortunately Govee support didn't help, they told me to reset the sensor, remove/add the…

Tuning & Optimization Guide

Update 11/23/2020: At the time of writing the following review, govee does not have an Alexa integration for water leak detection, so I had to rely on email, google scripts, webhook and IFTTT to do my automatically turn off main water. Valve, but with the latest update, Govee introduced Alexa integration and I was able to create some routines to disable the valve when a water leak sensor in the house is triggered. This greatly reduced the chances of a crash since I'm bypassing most of the…

Pros
  • Loud Mute Alert: When Wi-Fi is temporarily unavailable, our 100dB signal is loud enough to be heard. Press the mute button to turn off the alarm when you detect a leak.
Cons
  • Very Expensive

Everything works great except you can't know if the sensor has failed.

Well, these guys have failed at the basics: if a sensor is down, I don't get a notification that it's gone offline. But the icing on the cake: I tried accessing the disabled sensor via the app and everything works fine! Setting parameters etc. as if a sensor were present. So how do I know the sensor is up and working? UPDATE: ------------I got a reply from Govee that of course I don't see any status or notification because the sensor is dead and can't send it. I can't believe how stupid they…

Pros
  • Connects to Multiple Sensors: The Wi-Fi connection gateway provides more reliable and stable signal transmission and allows multiple sensors to be connected at the same time (maximum 10). Don't forget to update the latest firmware in the Govee Home app as soon as updates are available.
