They are more than worth the price offered. Forward and brightness are the same as the previously installed Philips. Not sure about durability yet, but we'll see.

So far the lightbulbs work without flickering. I tried a cheaper kit from another seller that started smoking on startup. So far they work great in 1 minute when I've used them. I will update the durability rating in the future. 1 year later, still works fine, no problems.

I don't understand why the 2nd lamp is behaving strangely. It takes longer to get the right color temperature and it goes off when I turn on the fog lights. Sometimes it goes off when switching from low beam to high beam. I have to turn off the machine, it restarts itself, not what I wanted, that's for sure.

The previous owner of my Vanden Plas (XJS) installed brighter than stock bulbs and blew them and the ballast. Ballasts were 40.99 and these headlights are EXACTLY the right temperature (4300K). Higher Kelvin lights are annoying blue headlights, there's too much juice flowing through the system and it can't handle it. Going back to original lamps and new ballasts is the way to go.

These HID bulbs are brighter than the standard HID bulbs that were on my 2012 Kia Optima SX. I'm sure these (standard) bulbs have been quite old since I bought them in 2017 but they still give out 20% more light than before and make it much easier to see at night. I would recommend them, although the installation was a little awkward, it's not because of the bulbs, it's purely because of the design of the car.
