I need to submit this

Okay, you need to submit this. I received these "dry balls" because I was running out of wool dry balls. Now imagine what they sound like in a stainless steel clothes dryer. I had to close the door to our laundry room and they were still too noisy. If you think drying a pair of tennis shoes is noisy, imagine it! These balls are rock hard and hit the dryer drum with such a roar I just can't take it! Do they soften the fabric? Who knows? I threw them away after 5 minutes.

Pros
  • Health and home care
Cons
  • Doubtful purchase for the elderly

It's not worth it! to Dryballs

I've had them since November 2015 and 3 of them have already cracked and splintered. One had to be thrown away because it broke in half. Do yourself a favor and buy wool drying balls. I have not noticed any benefit in reduced drying cycle time (I use 10 dryer balls per load) and zero static reduction (I have noticed the reduction in static with wool). When they break I switch to wool and never look back! EDIT TO ADD: It's November 2017 and there aren't any left. They're long gone. I've replaced

Ruined Clothes - Dryer Balls

I think this is a great idea for eliminating the need for dryer sheets. At the same time, the spikes are too hard and sharp. Use with heavier fabrics like jeans or a blanket seems appropriate, but they ripped small holes in two of my sons' pajamas to the point where they were ruined. A perforated diaper on my daughter ruined her. And ruined a few other shirts and dresses. I couldn't understand why there were suddenly little holes in my baby clothes, but the problem was those balls. Save money…
