🔋 High-powered Energizer Industrial 9 Volt Batteries – Reliable Alkaline 9v Battery (Pack of 12) Review

Bought these batteries in December 2018 and each is below the normal voltage for a new 9 volt 9.2 volt battery Bought them for a smoke alarm in my house and caught within 2 months of installation the alarm to beep at low battery status. It's so disappointing I can't even rate it a 1 but the Amazon website says I should rate it!

Bought because they were cheaper in bulk than a regular store. The box with the batteries was quite dented and appears to be a few years old. None of this matters much except that I bought them for my fire alarms and after 1 month they are beeping again. Conventional batteries (electronic devices) would last at least a year. I suspect that this star's batteries were simply too old and had lost most of their power.

These are great batteries but I highly recommend testing them all with a multimeter upon receipt. My 12 pack had 2 bad batteries. All 10 good ones showed 9.68v and the 2 bad ones showed 8.03v and 8.36v. This is the first time I can remember buying new batteries and had bad ones, but I can still use them very recommended.
