I want to repeat that

At first I bought the 4ft version and thought it would work. Brought it back to get six feet. These things are a lot shorter than you think. Both measure the specified length only at maximum stretch. Both are very difficult to stretch. I want to repeat this. Shorter than you think and very difficult to stretch. However, I have one with my two trailers. Much better than dealing with the long, straight cable that comes standard. Would buy again.

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • I don't remember

Good design but not quite what I want

Good design but not quite what I want; need longer. I'm towing a 25 foot trailer with a 1 ton Dodge. This breakable cable is stretched almost to the point where I don't trust it. Because of the constant tension, pulling the brake pin out while cruising down the road looks like there's a little tug. Also, due to the thickness of the brake pin's lanyard hole, it was very difficult to attach it to the ring when it came loose. Cable.

  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Mostly good but...

Great Product - Heavy & Commercial Vehicle Parts

Just bought a fifth wheel. My hitch is Pullrite SuperGlide as I have a short 3/4 ton pickup. The breakaway cable that came with my 5th bike was too long and I was concerned that it might snag on the SuperGlide mechanism when going forward, backward and sideways when turning the truck. I shortened the cable by putting a loop in it, but still had problems. The Fastway breakout cable did it. The length you need is there when you need it, but the coiled cord stays up and out of the way.

Excellent emergency release cable

My new trailer had coiled cables instead of safety chains but the emergency release cable was straight and very long. I didn't like doing anything with the extra cable in case it got tangled, and I didn't like pulling the stylus out when the worst happened. This spiral aviation cable did the job. I know this is highly unlikely as the ball should come loose, the safety chains should snap, the harness should come loose etc. but I need all the protection I can get for the trailer and horse. Good…

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Bad impression

Great purchase, I'm glad I did

Great purchase, I'm glad I did. My old factory trailer cable was worn out from one ride, it looked like it was dragging on the ground and was too worn out to be used anymore. I was never sure where to attach it either, I usually screwed it into the chain clips that go to the truck, but it never felt right or secure unless I really needed it. It stays out of the way with Fastway and has its own clip that mounts right on the truck so I know it's secure and will get the job done if I ever need it!

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Little things

Great product - Buy a 1.8m cable - Don't worry about a 1.2m cable

Great, practical product. Much better than standard floor pull cables. I would recommend getting a 6 foot cable and not bothering with a 4 foot cable at all. My hitch is only 3 feet from my hitch pin, so I originally bought a 4 foot cable. But it was very tight, and I felt like the constant tension would pull the pin out of my trailer during tow. So I removed the 4 foot cable and replaced it with a 6 inch cable and it fits better. It's not as big of a difference as you might think, but it does…

Pros
  • Ideal for a small home
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors
