Impressive intercom amplifier.

Actually a bit over the top for what I wanted but works great. I don't use it on the plane. I use it in noisy ground vehicles to communicate with other passengers.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Modern

Great price compared to similar doorphones

Great price compared to other similar doorphones but still with some motor noise issues. I need to find some kind of filter to eliminate motor feedback.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options

All in one intercom in a small box

This is the fifth intercom I have bought in the last few years. I add them to my flight simulators that I sell. They work great and at under $100 you can't beat the price! The 9 volt battery lasts a long time!

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Some cons

Not the best. in headsets and intercoms

Not suitable for Jeeps and SUVs. High wind speed interrupts your voice. It's a good product, but I definitely wouldn't spend my money on it again. Before you decide to buy, change your mind and buy something more expensive. Don't repeat my mistake and look for a cheap way out.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Very expensive

Easy to use. Works great

Compact and easy to use. I bought it to use in my UTV so I can talk to my passenger. Works great for this app. As well as the fact that the Ir-Van runs on a 9v battery or the included 12v cigarette lighter adapter. I didn't realize it came with an AC adapter so that was a bonus in my book.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Can't remember

It's big but metallic and well made.

Bought for clear communication with the navigator in a noisy sports car on road trips. Using a 9V battery is much better than using a cigarette lighter. The metal box is stronger than the plastic box but quite big. Volume and squelch work great. I had to cut two unnecessary cables from the box as they are not needed for my application and just get in the way. Too bad they weren't hardwired, otherwise 5 stars.

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • Some little things

Excellent double intercom

As I already have aviation headsets and a built in intercom on my plane I bought these for my wife and I to use in our Polaris slingshot. It works! Since it's battery operated, all I have to do is turn it on, plug in both headsets, adjust the noise cancellation and volume, and we're on our way. I used an earlier version of the same intercom in an old Aeronca Champ with no power. System. He did a great job in that role too. The operating time with a 9 volt battery is about 10 hours.

Pros
  • Absolutely fantastic!
Cons
  • Clarity

Kawasaki teryx 4 UTV

In my teryx 4 with good Aviation headphones. The volume is quite loud, the noise cancellation can be easily adjusted. There is also an expansion module for rear passengers. Connect music via the inputs and outputs to talk over the phone (or an external speaker). Sooooo much cheaper than a $1000+ "off-road" intercom. I spent about $420 for two front headsets, an intercom and expansion module, and two sets of helmets, worth every penny! Makes climbing more enjoyable and fun to interact with…

Pros
  • Makes me happy
Cons
  • Long delivery time
