Dual infrared and thermocouple thermometer for noncontact or contact temperature measurement in electrical maintenance and monitoring industrial and manufacturing processes. Measures temperature with the infrared sensor from -40 to +800 degrees C (-40 to +1472 degrees F) with an accuracy of + or - 1 degree C (+ or - 2 degrees F). Measures temperature with the included Type K bead thermocouple from -40 to +260 degrees C (-40 to +500 degrees F). 50:1 infrared distance-to-spot ratio with laser sighting for pinpointing the measurement area. Stores up to 99 points of data for analysis and monitoring on a computer.

Excellent test equipment from a leader. Very accurate and excellent over long distances for detecting overheating related problems in machinery and electrical equipment.

Works well, thermocouple is a useful addition.

Fluke makes good thermometers. I use this to measure pipe temp, motor temp etc. A thermocouple is useful for checking temperature sensor dry box fittings to ensure the temperature sensor is working properly.

Great Case Thermometer

I chose this infrared thermometer because Fluke is a great brand and I was not disappointed. The thermometer works like a charm and its settings are easy to change. I found it to be fairly accurate over long distances too. This model is more expensive than others available but has much better resolution and accuracy. The case is great too. Not only does it fit a thermometer, but also a book, batteries, etc. This makes it easy to store and take with you on the go.

This is a great device with great features

This is a great device with great features. First I bought the 62 Max+ version but found I didn't have anything to measure thermocouple contacts. Rather than buying a device specifically for contact measurements, I decided to upgrade to the 568. The 561 also seems like a great device and is about $200 less, but the thermocouple accuracy is +/- 4 degrees Fahrenheit. Thermocouple accuracy +/- 2 degrees.
