Consistent accuracy

Correct tire pressure is crucial. I keep a pocket watch in every car and a dial gauge next to my compressor. I recently checked the pressure on one of my machines and my pocket gauge showed one pressure and my dial indicator a second pressure - about a 5# difference. For the ideal 32#, this is a significant difference. So I decided on this duo of digital measuring devices. Now one is in my main car and the second one stays in my tool box.

Pros
  • Comfortable to use
Cons
  • Not automatic

Wildly inaccurate! Suitable for tire and rim tools

These are nice gadgets. One is black, the other red. On a tire where my old pencil gauge read 18psi, the red gauge read 12.6. On black was 19.1. Obviously they must both be wrong! This is a perfect example of precision versus precision. Accuracy is the number of digits you can read. Accuracy is how close your measurement is to the standard. These things claim to have triple digit accuracy, but they're barely accurate to one digit. Something good. They are easy to hold and can be mounted very…

It's great for tire and wheel tools

Overall they do their job. The pressure on both gauges appears to be about 1 PSI lower than my other gauges. Finding the right angle to get readings is pretty easy. The light isn't bright, but it's enough to find the stem. The lighting is enough for reading the screen - the numbers aren't very big, but it's quite enough. The kind of rubbery exterior adds grip and looks good - hopefully it will hold up. A small Phillips screwdriver is required to open the device. Inside is a stack of 3 watch…

Annoying devices but good value for money

I consider them disposable. It had one for about a year before even a new battery made it keep turning on, but when it worked it worked fine. I come back here to buy two more. They compared them to each other and they totally matched (and matched what I expected from my tires, having charged them just a few days earlier). often in the shade. My only complaint is that changing display units must be MORE DIFFICULT. hold eg I only use liberty units and it's too easy to pull the trigger twice and…

Very impressed with good tire and wheel tool

I needed a good gauge and as it was a two pack I decided to give it a try. When I picked up the device for the first time, I immediately noticed that it has good ergonomics. You may not think this is important, but if you're trying to check tire pressure at an odd angle or in a tight spot, it's very important. Especially if you accidentally try to keep your air out. Case in point: I researched the highest rated tires in consumer reports. It was Accutir. I have owned this meter for several…

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons

Bought new but the bag was dirty and I think they were used and probably returned defective and again sold. The black worked well and matches another gauge I recently purchased, Nilight 50026R between 0.0 and 0.1 psi on 8 different tires, 4 at 33.0 psi and 4 at 36.0 psi per square inch . I think 7 out of 8 tires were fully functional with both gauges. Red read no pressure, just 0 psi. After more than 10 tries, it finally got the reading: 2.6 psi under black, constant. There is no reset button…
