Description of GearWrench 81011P Polish Teardrop Ratchet

120XP ratchets have two double stacked 60 tooth pawls (120 positions) providing a 3° swing arc so you can turn fasteners in tighter confines. Double-stacked pawls alternately engage the 60 tooth gear, providing exceptional strength. Highly visible on/off markings on the head for fast size identification. Enclosed head design for extreme resistance to dirt infiltration. Teardrop, low-profile head and flush-mounted on/off switch allow better access in tight spaces. Longer reach handle to access hard-to-reach fasteners. Bright, full polish chrome finish easily wipes clean and resists corrosion. Meets or exceeds ASME specifications.

Highly recommended Best in Keys

I needed a small key for tight spots. Because it has such a small arc (3 degrees) it's perfect. I strongly recommend building, feeling and acting

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • Hard to say

Great socket tool

Very handy ratchet. Small swivel elbow for loosening or tightening. work as a mechanic. Use it every day. Would buy again. In fact, check out other GearWrench tools. I also bought a 1/4" gearwrench which is AWESOME. Highly recommended. This purchase was made after two Harbor Freight 1/4" ratchets failed.

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Damaged

Very smooth 1/4 " ratchet

This 1/4" ratchet is 5" long (head) and 3/8" thick. It has 60 teeth with double pawls making 120 clicks with 3 degrees of rotation. It can get into hard-to-reach places and has a very smooth mechanism. I have complaints. It doesn't have a quick release, which is fine with me. I personally don't like the quick release on a 1/4 ratchet because my thumb is always on the back of the ratchet head.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Don't really like it, it's ok

These are great ratchets! I have bought several of these from .

Excellent ratchets! I have bought several of these with 1/4" and 3/8" drive. Every time I take them, they impress me with their quality. I originally bought these to replace the Craftsman garbage ratchets that I was never supposed to get and had at home, but I liked them so much I ended up taking them to work and using them through my 80 tooth snap -On ratchets replaced. They're cheaper, built at least as well, have more teeth, and are less likely to get caught in someone else's dirty hook.

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • The list is getting long.

Hand tools with very fine teeth

I have a 120 xp 3/8 inch ratchet and after having a great experience with it I ordered another 1/4 inch ratchet (this review ) and I was very satisfied. I feel these 120xp series ratchets compete with the Snap-On 80 tooth I also own. If I had to choose one, I would choose GearWrench any day of the week. The latches give you 5 degrees of rotation and these notched keys give you 3, which is important when working in tight spaces. If you're thinking of buying, buy. Believe me. As a mechanic I use…

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Weight
