I bought this to replace the original as it was very bad after 13 years of use and cleaning. The resulting mirror snaps into place just like the original mirror that was removed. However, it doesn't fit as well as the original, so there is some play. Not much of a game, but enough for me to know it's not the original. It doesn't wobble or anything when you move it, so it does the job. So at this price - I would buy again!

I bought this mirror to replace the mirror on my 2010 Honda Insight as the mirror was badly damaged around the edges. And I couldn't see it well. I watched a video on You Tube and just changed the old to the new in 5 seconds. The mirror slid right onto the existing metal button attached to the glass. This is a huge security improvement that was easy to implement. And I'm 69 years old! Do not wait. Fix your mirror today!

My old rearview mirror still worked but had a few spots where the mirror coating was peeling from the glass and that annoyed me more than anything. If I hadn't looked at SOMEDATA I would never have figured out how to replace this mirror without damaging anything. There is actually a spring clip on the windshield and you rotate the mirror 90° and take it off the clip and then put the new one back on, very easy.

I put this in place of my standard pick which was starting to show signs of moisture damage.
