Better than the original, reinforcements where necessary. It took a bit of work to put it back in place. Take your time with it. Mazda put it in the most difficult spot, but I should have fixed it myself. Great product fits perfectly.

Perfect fit! It's not easy to install if you don't have those smart flexible hose clamps. I bought OTC 4525 Cable-Type Flexible Hose Clamp Pliers, they worked fine. After all, that part wasn't my problem anyway - the brake booster hose fitting was leaking air into the manifold.

Minivans from 2004 and earlier appear to have a known hidden defect with the PCV hose. It happened to me after 55,000km of running. The engine jerked at idle, the control did not light up. I did a little research on the internet and found that it was my turn to fix a hidden defect. This PVC hose has a more durable construction. Difficult to pinpoint, but worked after a few strategic maneuvers. Seems to have fixed the problem.

This worked great to replace an old hose that was practically torn on my '05 minivan. The route to this hose is SUPER and it will destroy your hands if they aren't tiny. I was able to install it with the help of my wife and her much smaller hands/arms. The blue clip part was really great to install as you just have to take it off and then it snaps into place. Excellent replacement part for Mazda MPV with Ford Duratek 3.0 liter V6 engine in 00-05 MPVs. This eliminates the root cause of most PCV hose failures as it reinforces the large bends at both ends of the larger diameter parts which tend to collapse and then tear or rupture creating multiple CELs (Check Engine Light Codes). Each end has a finger tension clamp that provides much better leverage for installing or removing a very hard to reach hose during the next service cycle or engine breakdown.
