Given the price of these shoes, I took a chance. So I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality. The type of leather surprised me even more. Over the past few years I've bought shoes (and boots) that cost many times as much and weren't as comfortable. No "breaking in" required, I put them on and they fit perfectly.
