2-Piece Glass Canopy Set for Marineland Perfecto 70/75/90/110 Gallon 48x18 Aquarium Fish Tank Review

I received this glass lid for my 75 gallon Top Fin Aquarium from PetSmart. It fits perfectly. I had to replace the old one because the hinges separated leaving 2 separate panes on each side. Replacing hinges is expensive. It arrived in a box with very thick large bubble wrap bags to protect it from breakage. The front glass is placed closer to the front as opposed to the original where it was closer to the center. This is good because the loop doesn't block the light, so the tank is better lit.

The cap for your 75g tank is all you need. The next thing to remember is that this is a two-piece lid. The jar does not need to be as thick as a one-piece 40g reproduction lid as each piece is 1 foot shorter. What I like best is that the front of the glass is very short compared to the back. This means the single light in the center isn't blocked by the hinge and can actually illuminate the entire tank - unlike the Aqueon lids which seem to suggest you need two lights, one at the front located…

Marineland Aquarium. Originally purchased from Petsmart. They didn't have a spare glass that was big enough, although they claim to fit 55-75 gallon tanks but are 1/2 inch shorter on the sides.
