Works exactly as advertised

Stay-Silv is excellent for high temperature soldering. and the black version is even more so with excessive or prolonged heating (within reason). A fairly reliable brand.

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than others

Works best for me in solder and flux

I've been using an old flux can for a while and had problems with it so I ordered this item and it works great for silver soldering steel. and stainless steel.

Pros
  • Several competitors
Cons
  • Nothing here

Easy to use - very easy welding

So easy and gentle to use. I'm not the most sensitive welder on earth - I can blow tons of white flame oxygen/battery heat into this material and it just works without igniting.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • No instructions

Quality Control Issue

Great product but the pump on the bottle failed. I had an old pump and used it for a while after which it failed. I would like a replacement delivery and will then be happy to publish my review. By the way - find a reliable pump!

Pros
  • Solder and Flux
Cons
  • Available in White Only

This is a yarn that should not be missing from any jeweler's shelf.

You have to try this flux for silver solder. You may not have heard of this thread before, but I can honestly say it works great. It doesn't dry as quickly as other fluxes, but if it dries out all you have to do is add some water. If it really protects against oxidation and that's such a quality product for so much money and works on all metals.

Pros
  • Soldering flux
Cons
  • thin

Great river! The Best in Soldering and Soldering Supplies

I've read about StaySilv and it's said to be a superior flux. I finally bought it and can confirm that it is a great flux for soldering sterling silver! It doesn't take long and the solder flows quickly, easily and cleanly. Note that this is a very dark brown color and there is a slight adjustment as it can be difficult to see through, but once you get used to it it's easy to see the heating stages and when the solder flows. . It's a creamy texture compared to the somewhat crystallized texture…

Pros
  • Soldering and Soldering Supplies
Cons
  • Big and Bulky
