Simple setup good for me

We had slow DSL, 6.5 Meg. Added a second line through this VPN router and we have 13 Meg's.! Well, streams Ebay and teens games don't lag. Yeah!. We can add two more if needed and have 26 Meg internet. But this works so much better now. I test it by cutting power to one DSL modem and it doesn't stop. Plug it back in, wait till modem is active passing data, and unplugged other DSL modem, doesn't quit. Some HD videos use 7 Meg's to 11 Meg's on Roku, and would spool / buffer on one DSL line. This…

Pros
  • The product was great but the support is BAD.
Cons
  • Heavy and bulky, may be difficult to transport

Cannot configure for load balancingor failover

I cannot get this to do load balancing or failover even though it seems easy based on their directions. The documentation is poor . I tried to update firmware and nothing matches on their site. I tried a similar firmware and could not update. Interface very simplistic. No DNS configuration. I should have returned this when I had the chance

Pros
  • ‎8.6 x 5.3 x 1.2 inches
Cons
  • May take up too much physical space in the office

No support in my review

Went to the support site to download the latest BIOS, drivers and support briefs. None, nothing about the routers just new networking products. The thing is easy enough to setup, and just as easy to hack. Hard pass

Pros
  • Access control features, such as MAC filtering and website filtering, offer companies increased control over network management to prevent unauthorized access and protect sensitive data
Cons
  • May have a noisy fan or cooling system

Load balances reliably. Runs openWRT Linux.

Performs reliably. Xfinity drops out occasionally requiring a switch to Frontier DSL modem. Now if Xfinity drops out, DSL is still running. In other words, my internet is now reliable. Perhaps I should buy another one.

Pros
  • The USB port on this router makes it easy to share files and enable peripheral devices to streamline business operations
Cons
  • May not be suitable for businesses with limited space

Does not have a USB port

This UTT ER840G is advertised to have a USB port. The item received was labeled as ER840G, however did not have a USB port.

Pros
  • It works perfectly and solved my problems.
Cons
  • May experience technical errors or malfunctions

No USB on first or replacement order

Model number matches description and title, but the device that is shipped does not have a USB port. I also could not get this to work with 2 WANs, It would only use one of them and when it would fail, it wouldn't fall back to the second whether I had both set to primary or one primary and one backup.

Pros
  • The router's high-performance hardware offers superior reliability and uptime, reducing the risk of downtime and service disruption
Cons
  • May not have seamless integration with certain cloud services or network providers

This router does what we need. The interface is simple, but that is what we wanted. Some other reviews mentioned some advanced concerns. I'm not sure that matters for us. I did some tests and it does switch over fine. We have not needed the backup ISP yet, which is fine by me. I hope they both work all the time.

Pros
  • ‎UTT
Cons
  • May have complex configuration settings

Does what it is supposed to if you can get it set up

First of all, the router that is pictured is not the router I received. Mine has the same model number, but looks different (blue faceplace) and does NOT have a usb port. I really don't need a USB port so that doesn't matter. Apparently there are some earlier versions of this router sitting on the warehouse shelves, so if you need the USB port, be aware that you might not get the version that has one.First the good:This router does what it is supposed to do. It allows me to use two different…

Pros
  • ‎No
Cons
  • May have limited compatibility with certain software or applications

I have two cellular modems I am trying to configure for WAN 1 and 2. I have tried for hours to get them configured with no success. They are showing connected with up and down traffic but I cannot access the internet through LAN 1. I cannot find any videos or manuals that help me configure this setup. Each cellular router uses dhcp with ip 192.168.1.1. I really want to like this product because the description is exactly what I want (load balancing), but if I cannot get it to work I'll have to…

Pros
  • Its compact and lightweight design makes it easy to install and integrate into existing network infrastructure without taking up valuable space
Cons
  • May not have remote access capabilities

UUT No longer in business! No firmware or support!

Product as described but UTT has gone out of business. You will not be able to get any firmware updates. This means that security vulnerabilities can't be blocked. The firewall is useless and this presents a vulnerability and a weak point in your network that can and will be exploited. If you get this you better put it behind a firewall or just use pfsense in the first place.Good Luck!

Pros
  • With its advanced QoS (Quality of Service) features, the router allows businesses to prioritize data traffic, ensuring that critical applications and services are always given priority access to the network
Cons
  • May not be suitable for businesses with specific network requirements for certain industries or locations

Ethernet ports kept shutting down.

I bought this to set up WAN failover between two ISPs at my house. Initial setup seemed straightforward, but as soon as I started navigating around the GUI the ethernet connection to my laptop would fail and all 5 ports would shut down - no activity lights and no connection response from any port, and it required a hard reboot to get back into the GUI. Happened every time I tried to set up the device even with nothing else plugged in except my laptop on the same subnet. Probably a hardware…

Pros
  • ‎1.37 pounds
Cons
  • May not have sufficient memory capacity for certain businesses
