The supplied screws are too long for the dowels.

anchors do not splinter to increase holding power like good anchors do. The screws provided are too long and press against the anchor causing it to loosen in the drywall. After a frustrating start installing a closet organizer, these anchors went in the bin and I found enough old Toggler brand anchors to finish the job.

Too soft to work best in fasteners

I ended up using the smaller of the two sizes. The material they are constructed of is not strong enough to drill or screw into drywall. The tip breaks trying so I tried drilling a pilot hole. The threads do not have time to gain a foothold in the wall and simply make a big hole in it. Due to damage I had to resort to snap-on screws. They are made of very soft plastic.

Do not buy production

I definitely do not recommend these, I have bought others that worked fine but have a fault. They are too strong at the top. You can see from the picture that the screw needs to be subjected to a significant current to break the tip. If you try to do this after the anchors are in the wall, the increase in torque will cause the anchor to rotate in the drywall, rendering it ineffective and creating a large hole in the drywall. The only thing I can see to get this batch working for me is to cut…

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Only available in black
