I like this rug a lot. First purchase was in 2016, had to be replaced last week. Every other bath mat I've ever had was replaced every 3 months. This was very easy to keep clean and didn't fall apart. But after 4 years it did get a few spots of mold which I couldn't clean but hey that's nothing to complain about at all - like I said it lasted 4 years.

When I order something made of plastic, the user reviews usually say the plastic smells bad. I ignore them, there is always someone sensitive to the smell of plastic. Silly me. These mats are mean. I was looking for something other than transparent or white. It matched my bathroom colors so I bought it. It has a slight odor but nothing that completely blows you away. A hot shower will remove the odor while showering. I don't know why it should smell anything, but it is. I find that the mat moves a little, so you have to be careful.
