Updated September 2020: Just a quick update after over 3 years. I am still using this gate and gate opener as installed and it still works great. The only problem I've ever had was the batteries dying after more than 2 years. Replaced and still holding up. Do a good job with the wiring and it looks like you'll have an opener that will give you years of trouble-free service. This thing looks doubly like a BMW. It works well, and you'll spend heaps of money on "upgrades" you'd like in the box, but you'll still be pretty complacent once this thing gets up and running. I know what I am! 1. Locking pin. This will prevent someone from unscrewing and taking away your controller.2. Zombie Castle. I have no experience with gate openers. I took my time with the installation to make sure I was doing it right. It took me a whole weekend. Maybe you can do it faster. But I'm very happy with the results. I should also note that I have a particularly difficult setup involving concrete poles, a concrete wall to make sure everything is clean, and a concrete driveway to figure out how to route the cable. For the impatient among us, here first: Pros: Good control lever, I like the design Decent quality hardware Easy to program the control panel Good instructions Easy to add other things (locks, vehicle sensors, manual lock/unlock buttons) Cons: A bit cumbersome to install took me almost a whole day.
