Love it - Kitchen & Dining

I've been using this for a while and I love it. I fill the pot at night before bed and use the water to brew coffee the next morning. I think the water tastes better that way. I cook them every month according to instructions.

Pros
  • Cool product
Cons
  • Hard to remember but it was

Too much money for too little product

As far as I know these are organic pieces of wood and not precision machined items. The product photo clearly shows that the length of the stick you will receive is approximately the length of the box itself. As you can see from the attached photo, mine was just under half that length. Am I paying almost $30 for two pieces of 2 inch charcoal?

Pros
  • Always liked
Cons
  • The list is getting long.

Love it! Also available in multiple sizes

I've been using these for a few years now and they're great. I have two 1/2 gallon glass jugs so I can rotate them and allow enough time to filter. If you need faster feeding, they also have 3-5 gallon containers. They are also the size of a water bottle. Just cook them once a month and they're good for several months.

Pros
  • Not cheap but decent
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Holy shit, it works!

Works. I mean it really works. I was so skeptical because I mean it's a stick for goodness sake lol but it really works. Our well water has a very strong mineral taste, so we have been using the Brita filter for quite some time. I was tired of using so much plastic so I decided to give it a try. I wasn't sure what to expect but now my water tastes fresh and clean. Even my husband was impressed. It tastes as good as a Brita and nothing goes to landfill. This is a win-win situation.

Pros
  • Not only useful for the intended purpose
Cons
  • Waiting time too long

Disappointing in the kitchen and dining area

I bought this to replace a worn filter on a faucet. Most of the time my tap water tastes fine, but in early spring it has an "earthy" taste and smell for about a month. Kishu doesn't remove that taste and smell as effectively as my old faucet filter. Also, one of the two sticks broke in half the first night I used it. Chopsticks rattle in glasses and small crumbs break off. I refill them and leave the last half cup or so in the pitcher so I don't spill the charcoal in my drinking glass.

Pros
  • Cool
Cons
  • Makes me angry

Happy to find a solution!

I love my Kisha! The water tastes fresh and clean. Everything – and I mean everything – can be composted in it. All packaging and even sticks. I'm in the second set. The first set now serves as deodorant sticks for an antique chest of drawers that is getting a bit musty. I don't like plastic jugs and the waste from those big filters. We keep them in jars and large jars, turn the jars upside down before bed, and always drink fresh cold water in the morning. The whole family commented how much…

Pros
  • I'm looking forward to it
Cons
  • Hard to say

I want to believe it works.

I hope this works! I can not say it exactly. The water doesn't taste as good as when using a regular Brita filter, but I hate those things so I really want to enjoy it. I'm still trying and working with it. Are you trying to leave it in the water longer hoping it's a taste issue? I've been using for a few months. You'll need a couple of jugs/sticks if you're going through as much water as my family. The biggest annoyance is the time you have to wait for it to work, but I like that it's so much…

Pros
  • I'm holding my fists
Cons
  • There's nothing here
