You have to open the ports or it will ruin your engine due to poor oil circulation

When purchasing these filters, make sure all four ports on the engine side are open. I did find that the epoxy used to glue the mesh to the base covered the holes. You have to open the holes or it will destroy your engine due to poor oil circulation. IMPORTANT! A toothpick was used to clean the holes. I had two filters with this problem. rick

Worked on my 2005 TW200. Has the correct 4 holes for proper oil flow.

Worked great for my 2005 Yamaha TW200. Fits as it should and has the right 4 connections to ensure proper oil flow. I made sure that the oil flows through the oil passages to the head. I bought a few to replace but sold the bike before I replaced more than 1. When I look at the filter material, it turned out to be a metal screen, so I think it can be reused if cleaned properly. Worth buying and worked great for me.

Good Oil Filter Filter

It seems that people either use a specific brand of oil/filter or buy what is available. I'm more in the second group with a list of companies I've had no luck with and avoid. I've had good luck with K&N and this dirt bike filter is no different. Looked exactly like the OEM and came with a replacement oil filter rubber gasket. I tend to reuse it if the old one is in good condition and it was a low mileage oil change, but not having to just order a gasket is a nice touch. Fits snugly, seems to…

Yamaha Vino - Oil Filter

I bought a 2009 Yamaha Vino as a project bike and part of the revitalization process was an oil change. Did you know that a motorcycle has 2 different oil filters? I'm used to bikes without an oil filter so this was new. Well, one of the oil filters is a strainer that collects large debris. It is cleanable.
